AmnioFix

DON’T BE SIDELINED BY AN INJURY

Beltsville Foot and Ankle Center

The Beltsville Foot & Ankle Center is proud to offer AMNIOFIX INJECTABLE

What is it?

AmnioFix Injectable is human amniotic membrane graft in a powder form that is mixed with an anesthetic for injection into the injured area. Amniotic membrane has been used for 100 years on all parts of the body.

How does it work?

Soft tissue trauma or overuse can cause micro-tears that become inflamed. Scar tissue immediately begins to form and can impede full recovery. Conservative treatments such as oral and topical anti-inflammatories, rest, and bracing are important, but may not be enough.

AmnioFix injectible contains growth factors and cytokines that effectively reduce inflammation, reduce scar tissue formation, and enhance healing of micro-tears in soft tissue.

Is AmnioFix right for you?

AmnioFix injectable should be considered as part of your treatment if:

  • You have been diagnosed with a sport injury or overuse soft tissue injury
  • Conservative treatments including anti-inflammatories, physical therapy, and bracing have not improved your condition
  • If you have reached your limit of steroid injections for the treatment of your condition

It can also be used at the time of diagnosis to speed healing and reduce recovery time.
