Ingrown Toenails

Definition

Your ingrown toenail began as a result of the edge of the toenail irritating or puncturing the skin next to it. This is caused by improper cutting of the toenail, an injury to the toe, or tight shoes. If left untreated your ingrown toenail will rapidly become infected.
